Sources
Every tartan in the dictionary is traceable to a source: a dataset of setts, colours or photographs, each with its own licence and provenance. The dictionary is derived data — these sources are the primary record.
When the same cloth is recorded by more than one source, the records collapse to a single page that lists every source as an attestation, and the oldest record owns the page. James Logan's 1831 survey is the earliest of them, so where Logan recorded a sett his is the owning record, with the later, adjusted versions linked from it.
