Gammell
Its design is pattern BGRWRWRW — the page of every tartan sharing this colour sequence.
Designed c.1965 for the Hill family of Angus; based on the largest Government sett, woven by handweaver Mrs Gammell.
The Gammell tartan groups 2 setts — the same named design recorded as different cloths (its kilt, Carpet, Child's…, or a transcription apart). The master sett (★) is the exemplar.
