Menzies

A tartan of the Menzies family.

Its design is pattern KWKWKWKW — the page of every tartan sharing this colour sequence.

Red and white sett certified as Menzies by the clan chief c.1816; misnamed MacFarlane in the Cockburn Collection.

The Menzies tartan groups 2 setts — the same named design recorded as different cloths (its kilt, Carpet, Child's…, or a transcription apart). The master sett (★) is the exemplar.
