MacHardy
Its design is pattern BRGBGBRG — the page of every tartan sharing this colour sequence.
Documented in an 1860 manuscript by Chief Constable Charles Andrew McHardy of Dumbarton; smaller sett from Johnston, 1906.
The MacHardy tartan groups 4 setts — the same named design recorded as different cloths (its kilt, Carpet, Child's…, or a transcription apart). The master sett (★) is the exemplar.
