Martin
Its design is pattern KBKGKGKGY — the page of every tartan sharing this colour sequence.
Adopted circa 1976 by kiltmaker Bob Martin from J.P. Stevens fashion fabric, named on the spot at the Charleston Games.
The Martin tartan groups 3 setts — the same named design recorded as different cloths (its kilt, Carpet, Child's…, or a transcription apart). The master sett (★) is the exemplar.
