Moncreiffe
Its design is pattern GR — the page of every tartan sharing this colour sequence.
Adopted by Sir Iain Moncreiffe in 1957 from an old MacLachlan red-and-green sett, deemed fitting to the clan's ancient history.
The Moncreiffe tartan groups 2 setts — the same named design recorded as different cloths (its kilt, Carpet, Child's…, or a transcription apart). The master sett (★) is the exemplar.
