Wilson
Its design is pattern BGRGRG — the page of every tartan sharing this colour sequence.
Created for the 1780 wedding of William Wilson and Janet Paterson; later adopted as the Wilson family tartan.
The Wilson tartan groups 2 setts — the same named design recorded as different cloths (its kilt, Carpet, Child's…, or a transcription apart). The master sett (★) is the exemplar.
