Designed as a Steel tartan for the Steel family in Lockerbie. The design is close to but different from the King George VI tartan (STR #1985). - 2006 February — Steel (Personal) (tartans-authority, record)
Designed as a Steel tartan for the Steel family of Lockerbie. Declined (27.2.06) to record this tartan due to its closeness to King George VI @ #5845. BW. Later consultation rescinded that and this is now (April 2006) accepted as the family tartan for this particular Steel family.
