Designed in August 1988 by Malcom Campbell of Edinburgh Woollen Mill, who donated the sample to the Scottish Tartans Society archive, This tartan was to celebrate Edinburghs Woollen Mills participation in the Lord Mayor's Show 12th November 1988. The colours represent the predominant colours in the arms of Christopher Collett, Lord Mayor of London, also Gold overchecks representing the Mayorial chain of office, and Red and White for the cross on the arms of the City of London.
