Earliest known date: 1989 Approved by the Idaho Centennial Commission as the official Idaho tartan. The Lasting Legacy Committee of the Centennial Commission also made mention of a "Mr John McEwing who contributed so much to the heritage of the Scots in Idaho."

    Designed by Jan Crook, this is a colour modification of the Black Watch and approved by the Idaho Centennial Commission as the official Idaho tartan. The Lasting Legacy Committee of the Centennial Commission also made mention of a ''Mr John McEwing who contributed so much to the heritage of the Scots in Idaho.'
