Provenance
Earliest known date: 2010 Intended as the officially recognised dress tartan for the Oliphant clan. The design proposal has the clan chief's approval. Chief Richard Oliphant said, "I am more than happy with the design and glad to have it." The main elements of the Oliphant tartan have been preserved in the new design and woven in the brightest ancient colours.
