- 01/01/1954 — Grant of Auchnarrow (register-of-tartans, record)
Count taken from a tartan plaid donated in 1954 to the founder of the Highland Folk Museum, Dr Isabel Frances Grant MBE, LLD, by a Miss Peace, said to be a descendant of 'a Strathspey tacksman' who held the farm of Auchnarrow. Originally designated 'Grant of Achnarrow', the reference is almost certainly a mis-spelling of Auchnarrow, a property near Castle Grant, north-east of Grantown-on-Spey. Auchnarrow was held in the 16th century by the Clann Chiaran sept of Clan Grant. The sett was confirmed by photographic evidence of the plaid at the Highland Folk Museum in September 2012. - pre 2003 — Grant of Acharrow Artifact Tartan (house-of-tartan, record)
