Provenance
Earliest known date: 20 November 2012 This tartan was designed by Blair Urquhart of House of Tartans, Scotland, for Kevin Roman, to honour family members. The tartan draws on three Scots forebears for its inspiration: his great grandmother, a MacKenzie; his grandmother, a Turnbull; and his mother, a Gill. The tartan is also a tribute to the memory of Kevin Roman's grandfather, Octavious Gill, who died fighting in the First World War, and his father, Joseph Roman, who fought in the desert in the Second World War, and then in Suez.
