    From the Provost Macbean Collection. Scottish Tartans Society notes say 'Appears near the end of the Provost's collection - 'which he placed in the book in the order of receiving them. The patterns at the end of the book are all modern.' (Arthur Peters, librarian at Inverness Public library). Sample in Scottish Tartans Authority Scarlett Collection. James Cant MA's (d. 1960) colour strip differs slightly from the woven sample shown here.
