    A tartan for Murtaughs and all its spelling variants. It is derived from the Gaelic O'Muircheartaigh meaning 'navigator'. Stephen M Murtaugh, an ancestor of the designer, moved from County Mayo in the mid 19th century to Pittsburgh USA. The name is now found throughout the States. Can be worn by all those with the name and spellings Murtaugh. This tartan was designed by the late Don Smith of Heraldic Graphics of Glasgow. The weaver was D.C. Dalgliesh of Selkirk.
