    This sett is based on the earlier hunting sett which appeared in the Vestiarium Scoticum in 1842. This dress version is the sett most commonly associated with the name. Threadcount taken from W & A K Johnston 'The Tartans of the Clans and Septs of Scotland'.

    There are two versions of Barclay family tartan - this one which has a yellow ground and the hunting version which has a green ground. The latter comes from Vestiarium Scoticum. The scale of this yellow Barclay was W/2 Y12 K12 Y/2 but the count for this graphic is taken from the Lochcarron woven sample.
