Interesting Scottish Tartans Society notes on this one: 'Taken from a knee rug with a label on it saying, 'Angus Macleod of Dunvegan Skye'. This weaver has not been traceable but is identified by the proposer, Dr Hugh Ross MacCrimmon as being the designer. The tartan has been woven now by D.C. Dalgliesh from Selkirk to this display's thread count.' An Angus MacLeod from Lewis was the designer of the Isle of Skye tartan. - pre 2002 — MacCrimmon from Skye (Clan?) (tartans-authority, record)
