Laurentian University in Ontario launched its tartan in May 2007 when it was first worn by the University's Pipe Band which led the procession of graduates and dignitaries at its 2007 'convocation ceremonies.' The colours are those of the school - blue and gold and the design is based on the Ramsay tartan.
