2 attestations — the source records this cloth was collapsed from (oldest owns this page)
  • 01/01/2002 — Tache, Sir Etienne Paschal #2 (register-of-tartans, record)
See main entry #5157 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) for details. This Scottish Tartans Society version is more or less the same as the main entry but with green instead of dark blue. Scottish Tartans Society mentions Sainthill-Levine who were either weavers or retailers.
  • pre 2002 — Tache, Sir Etienne Paschal (Commem) (tartans-authority, record)
1795 - 1865. One of the Fathers of the Confederation. Fought in the war of 1812. Member of Quebec Legislature and one-time aide-de-camp to Queen Victoria. Sample in STA Johnston Collection. This tartan has been reported as having black in place of the green but that suggestion is thought to be in error and the perceived 'black' is in fact a very dark green. STS mentions Sainthill-Levine who were either weavers or retailers.
