Earliest known date: pre 2003 Designed by the Reverend John Pahls and woven by Kirkbright & Fraser of Vancouver. Phil Smith (June 2004) advises that it was commissioned by the Rev.Thomas and Elizabeth Campbell for the Black Hills Highland Games held in Sturgis, South Dakota. Another source states it is the unnofficial state tartan.
