    The National Millenium tartan is veery closely based on the 1934 National tartan produced by the National Association of Scottish Woollen Manufacturers which never proved popular. An alternative threadcount has been recorded, also by Lochcarron: W/4 B8 R32 K28 G64 Y2 B16 K4 W/4 (half sett, full count at pivots).
